Window Look

Who am I, really?
Here are a few hints.
I did a lot in 2013, but here are a few things that I did not do or even attempt------

I did not go on a diet.
I did not take a 'selfie'.
I did not attempt to 'twerk'.
Did not twitter.
Did not use any #birdmans.
Did not watch one episode of "Walking Dead".
Did not go to a movie theater.
Did not buy any iTunes.
Did not wish that I was in any way related to anyone named Kardashian.
Did not get a dog.
Did not eat lamb.
Did not get a tattoo.
... and don't think I'm heading in any of these directions in '14.
Enjoy your night and kiss 2013 Goodbye!

* I did do something though. I continued to post here every day. Haven't missed a day since 12/31/08.

  1. No movie theaters? At all???? I do know some things that you DID do, but your secrets are good with me! Happy New Year, Birdman! I wish you continued success with your blog - I have been a devoted fan since the beginning! (BTW - why do you need a dog when you had a "dog niece"???).

  5. Happy New Year, Birdman! Who are you? With that list I would say you are a geezer, just like me. No movies? Must be a personal thing. I love movies, especially in large theaters.

  6. I guess I am something not so different: I did not do everything you did not do and I even did that one with the asterisk! I will try to keep not doing those things also in 2014!
Happy New Year to you and your family!

  12. WOW! Congratulations! That is an exceptional accomplishment. I love reading your little stories and essays reflecting on life in Maine.

I only managed 362 posts this year. Wonder what happened on those other days.

  16. Ha, I join you and the big bunch of your followers who had better things to do than what is on your list.
And I heartily approve of your to do list for 2014.
    Happy new year, Birdman.

  19. Well I tweeted and did eat some lamb but did none of the other things - other things I didn't do were send texts, drink alcohol, drive a car nor smoke.

  21. P. S. Love that photo with the curtain 'frame.' I didn't do any of those things either, except for tweeting. You might actually like that because you can choose to merely listen, and you can listen to only those you want to listen to, and occasionally you can jump in and say something, *if you choose.*
