It's a self-portrait. Well, sort of. We're always aiming our cameras on other people, places and things. When we try the flip-side and turn the camera on ourselves, we often find some interesting images. These images can be quite revealing. They can reveal the obvious and even, if you look carefully, the hidden. Now, as far as clothing goes, I've never met a vest I wouldn't take a chance on. Odd color and fabric combos intrigue me a lot. Do you have a favorite, 'safe' piece of clothing, footwear, or hat?
La classe le gilet, et puis une couleur que l'on peut pas rater ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm a sweatshirt kind of girl...on weekends of course.
ReplyDeleteNow that is a vest with a sunny attitude! Pale pink is my favorite go-to color.
ReplyDeleteGosh you would cheer up any situation in a vest like that Birdman, it's awesome! Me, I'm a sucker for a pretty frock!!
ReplyDeleteBirdman, You are the MAN! I bet that you look terrific in that splendid vest! I have Southwest clothing that do not transfer well to the Midwest without turning heads, but I still wear my red cowboy boots and quechequemitl (shawl-like poncho...and very expensive!). I wear my cowboy hat less often tho. My friends indulge me.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors, lovely portrait:) I am boring, usually wearing black jeans..
ReplyDeleteI like your vest. It goes with the shirt. Makes you a Yellow-bellied Birdman.
ReplyDeleteBirkenstocks sandal types. I too like vests -- unusual ones only. Your vest is great -- barbara
ReplyDeletehow cute is that!? a vest man!
ReplyDeleteHi there, That vest in the picture looks like a soft corduroy.. I still like corduroy ---even after all of the years. Another fabric I still like is seersucker. Never see it much anymore either.... Oh Well!!!
ReplyDeleteBetsy
I definitely like your choice of color! Nice and bright. :)
ReplyDeleteLa classe !!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd say that was a good "investment." But it ain't gonna get you into heaven! :-) Oh, I need to ask, where can I buy sone Sox?
ReplyDeleteYou are quite the fashionplate, Bird. No, I don't have a shirt like that, nor do I have a vest like that. In cooler weather, button-down shirts, jeans or khakis and loafers. A lightweight V-neck sweater if it is needed. In warmer weather, polo shirts, shorts and sandals. Pretty typical.
ReplyDeleteI love your vest.
ReplyDeleteI have lots of sensory issues. Clothes have to feel right or I have no use for them.
I had to give a hostile multi hour video deposition today. I wore my Columbia purple long sleeve fishing shirt, I call it my happy shirt. The deposition went great.
Since I'm mostly a street photographer I avoid clothing that attracts attention. No orange vests. I stick to quiet solid colors and a tan Cardinals cap.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. For me it's jeans. Comfy, relaxed and grungy.
ReplyDeleteI don't thin I have ever owned a west. Favorite clothing would be anything that you can use as a cyclist. In summer that means as little as possible. During winter a warm coat is never wrong.
ReplyDeleteanything purple.
ReplyDeletei have 3 vests. one of them purple... :) i dont wear them enough.
